Are your nappies Australian Made?

Unfortunately no. We wanted to offer an affordable option for the families that cannot afford Australian Made Nappies so all of our nappies, disposable bamboo liners and some  of the nappy inserts are all manufactured in China. All our stock is stored right here, so there is no wait times for delivery from China, unless the description states “preorder”. If we happen to run out of stock on hand we will contact you immediately.  What we do offer is friendly advice and excellent customer service. If you ever have any questions or need any help, please contact us.
All of our other products are made in Australia, either by our suppliers or handmade by us.

How many cloth nappies do I need?
This question is often asked for very good reasons. The number of nappies that is needed varies from family to family, this is because factors such as if you want to do cloth casual, part-time or full-time, how often you want to wash and the age of the baby/toddler plus how many children are in cloth.

Newborn to 3 months

Newborns to around 3 months can use between 10 to 12 nappies a day. If you wanted to wash everyday, around 24 – 30 nappies would be needed to allow for drying time of the nappies. Every second day for washing would vary between 30 to 36 nappies.

3 to 6 months

3 month olds til 6 month olds can use between 8 to 10 nappies a day. If you wanted to wash everyday, around 16 – 20 nappies would be needed to allow for drying time of the nappies. Every second day for washing would vary between 24 to 30 nappies.

6 months onwards

From 6 months onwards the number of nappy changes can be between 6 to 8 nappies a day. If you wanted to wash everyday, around 12 – 16 nappies would be needed to allow for drying time of the nappies. Every second day for washing would vary between 18 to 24 nappies.

How do I store soiled nappies?
It is recommended to store soiled nappies in a dry pail – this is an open container/bucket which allows plenty of airflow.
How do I clean my nappies?
It is recommended to do a quick/short wash (prewash) of soiled nappies followed by a proper wash and then hang it them out to dry. Always hang the nappies out with the PUL down so the suede cloth is facing out. If you live a hot region, try to hang them in the shade or for a short period of time to prevent the PUL layer from being degraded by the sun.

Did you know that nappy water is classed as black water not grey water? Because of this we recommend reading the washing information on the clean cloth nappies down under website.
